This approach is for kids, too

Children can experience neuroplastic symptoms too, and they often show up in ways that don’t always look like “pain.” Common signs include:

  • Anxiety or worry that feels overwhelming

  • Stomach aches or abdominal pain

  • Headaches or abdominal migraines

  • Racing heart or dizziness

  • Sleep struggles

  • Sensory sensitivities

  • Other “mystery” symptoms that don’t have a clear medical explanation

These symptoms are very real, and for kids (and parents), they can be confusing and stressful. The good news? Children’s brains and nervous systems are incredibly flexible and responsive. With the right support, they often make progress even more quickly than adults.

My Approach with Kids

Working with children is a little different — it’s lighter, more creative, and more playful. I draw on the same neuro-somatic tools I use with adults, but adapted in ways that feel safe, fun, and age-appropriate. Together, we:

  • Use imagination, storytelling, and play to explore symptoms in a non-scary way

  • Practice simple nervous system regulation techniques (breathing, movement, grounding)

  • Build emotional awareness and expression in gentle, accessible steps

  • Teach kids (and parents) how to notice and shift fear-based patterns

  • Create small, confidence-building moments of safety and success

This work often becomes a family journey — I love helping parents feel empowered to support their child’s healing at home.

Why Families Choose This Approach

  • It’s evidence-based and grounded in neuroscience

  • It addresses both body and emotions

  • It offers practical tools kids can actually use

  • It’s compassionate, fun, and tailored to your child’s unique personality
